1. Choose the Purpose & Vibe of the Event

Decide:
• Is this a dinner? A mixer? A holiday party?
• Is the vibe luxury, cozy, casual, or fun?
This sets the tone for EVERY decision.

2. Set Your Guest Count/ Send Out Notices To Confirm

Make a list.
Your guest count determines:
• How much food you need
• How much seating you need
• What your space can handle

Start small for your first event.

3. Pick a Simple Menu

You don’t need to cook everything.
Choose:
✔ 1–2 appetizers
✔ 1 main or themed dish (or catering!)
✔ 1 dessert
✔ 1 signature drink
Keep it EASY and outsource where you can.

4. Choose a Color Scheme or Decor Theme

Pick 2–3 colors so everything looks cohesive.
Examples:
• Gold + white + evergreen
• Burgundy + forest green
• Black + gold modern chic

This makes your event automatically feel elevated.

5. Create a Shopping List

Break it into:
• Food
• Drinks
• Decor
• Tableware
• Extras (trash bags, ice, tape, etc.)

This prevents last-minute chaos.
